THE SYMBOL CE
This appliance meets the requirements for safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The relevant ‘CE’ mark
can be found on the nameplate, on the packing box and in the instruction manual.
Beard trimming guide
To trim beards, set the three-way switch of the device to its lower (clipping) position.
Set the required clipping length at the comb attachment, as described above. Beards are recommended to be
trimmed longer at first in smaller amounts, to allow for corrections.
When beard clipping has been completed, remove the comb attachment and set the three-way switch of the
device into its upper (adjustment) position. With this setting you can improve the beard contour.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Warning! Before cleaning and maintenance, the device must be switched off. Do not clean or carry
out maintenance whilst the device is charging. Always unplug the power cable first from the wall
socket then from the device.
In order to avoid an electric shock, never immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug in water or any other
liquid.
Never remove the cover of the appliance.
After use, pull down comb attachment from the appliance and, using the small brush, clean hairs carefully
from between the upper and lower blades.
Clean the outside cover of the appliance with a damp, soft, lint-free cloth and then wipe the cleaned
surfaces with a dry lint-free cloth. Take care not to allow any moisture inside the cover. Let the appliance dry
completely before re-using or storing it.
When cleaning the appliance, never use solvent (acetone, benzole, petrol, alcohol, etc.) as these may solve
the casing material, or the internal parts of the appliance if they get into. Do not use cleaning agents with
coarse or grinding effect.
In order to preserve hair cutting performance and to maintain the long life of your appliance, it is important
to regularly oil the hair cutting unit.
If over a period of time, despite regular cleaning and oiling, the cutting power decreases, the hair cutting
unit can be replaced. However, the hair cutting unit is subject to wear and tear, for which no manufacturer’s
guarantee exists.
After cleaning, wait until the device and all of its accessories have completely dried out, then store in a dry,
dust and frost free area.
